Accreditation with Performance Coach Training Ltd
For our workplace courses we can design accreditation to suit your requirements.
Please contact us and ask for more details.
The Performance Coach Training Open Course:
- is recognised by the Association for Coaching
- puts you on the pathway to the University accredited MSc in Coaching & Development delivered in partnership by Performance Consultants Ltd, The Performance Coach and Portsmouth University Business School
- draws from the work of Sir John Whitmore and Carol Wilson
There are three levels of accreditation:
- Certification: all participants who complete the Performance Coach Training course receive a Completion Certificate
- Diploma: participants who meet the accreditation criteria described below receive the Coaching for Performance Accredited Coach Diploma and may write ‘CfPAC’ after their names
- Masters Degree: your Diploma counts as approved prior learning towards the University accredited MSc in Coaching & Development delivered in partnership by Performance Consultants Ltd, The Performance Coach and Portsmouth University Business School.
1. Completion Certificate requirements:
Complete all the modules on the Performance Coach Training Open course including the practice sessions in between. Missed modules can be made up at extra cost.
2. CfPAC Accreditation Diploma requirements
- Complete the Performance Coach Training Course or a course accepted by PCT as Approved Prior Learning.
- Pass an assessment by delivering a session to another participant on Day 5 of the course, observed by a PCT trainer.
- Produce a professional liability insurance certificate (or confirmation from your organisation that you are covered if you only plan to work as an internal executive coach).
- Give details of regular Coach Mentoring/Supervision plus a reference from your Coach Mentor/Supervisor (this may be another participant from the course)
- Produce a reference from a client.
- Provide confirmation from a coachee (which may be a participant form the course) that you have completed 4 sessions of at least 40 minutes each in length
- Produce a written case history of a coaching session, or a coaching series, or an example of how you have used the skills in your workplace. Include details of which tools you used. To protect confidentiality, do not disclose names but you must ask the permission of anyone else involved in the case history.
- Provide written confirmation from your coach (which may be another course participant or an accredited coach who has not trained with PCT) that you have completed 4 sessions as a coachee, each at least 40 minutes in length. If your coach is not from PCT, you must include details of their coaching qualifications, which must be a minimum level of accreditation with a coaching body or coach training organisation.
- Write 1000 words about your coaching philosophy including what techniques you use.
3. The University accredited MSc in Coaching & Development entry requirements:
- Produce CfPAC Accreditation Diploma.
- CfPAC accreditation counts as Accreditation of Prior Learning on page 5 of the PDF enabling you to skip that process, the APL fee, and some of the course work and fees in year 1.
