“I’ll just come right out and say – ‘it was perfect’. The things that really matter to me have all scored highly. It is rare that one course meets needs/expectations in all areas. - Sue Akroyd (Head of Professional Development, Foundation for Community Dance)
We provide coaching skills training based on Sir John Whitmore's best-selling, time honoured, book entitled “Coaching for Performance” and Carol Wilson’s “Best Practice in Performance Coaching”. These programmes are designed at all levels from integrating coaching skills into your managers' communication styles to training and accrediting your own team of internal coaches, mentors and supervisors. All our programmes are recognised by the ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management).
Performance Coaching for Leadership Module 2, Executive Coach, is a 5 day programme spread over at least 1 month designed to enable your leaders to get the best from themselves and their teams.
The accreditation criteria, standards and ethics of the training reflect those of the UK's independent coaching body, The Association for Coaching, of which Sir John Whitmore is Honorary Vice President and Carol Wilson is Head of Accreditation. The programme is Recognised by the ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) and leads to assessment and accreditation for successful candidates on the final day
The style of the training is learning by doing. This is a very practical approach in which participants will have the opportunity to practise coaching specifically about issues currently arising in their workplace and to get feedback from our trainers and each other during the programme.
This course typically consists of the following modules and can be scheduled to suit each organisation’s individual requirements; for example where executives are from different geographical regions, the final part can be completed by conference line.
Whether or not a manager wishes to act as an internal coach, we find that elements 2 and 3 below embed the coaching skills more fully into an executive’s leadership style.
| Session 1: | 2 days of coaching skills training | |||
| Session 2: | 2 days of training in how to deliver a series of coaching sessions | |||
| Session 3: | 1 day of assessment. Accreditation for candidates awarded a pass | |||
| Materials: | A comprehensive Workbook is provided for sustained learning and reference after the programme. |
We are committed to ensuring that the impact of our interventions with your organisation is captured in a way that is meaningful to your business. We will work with you to develop a method that meets your specific requirements and gives you the information that you need throughout the programme.
