Overview

We provide train the trainer in-house programs that are based on Sir John Whitmore's best-selling, time honoured, “Coaching for Performance” and Carol Wilson’s “Best Practice in Performance Coaching". These programs are designed for your trainers to learn how to train your managers in the Performance Coach Training Coaching Skills for Leaders Certificate course.

Purpose of the programme

    • To provide managers with executive coaching skills and tools
    • To train your internal trainers to become accredited in house coaches, coach trainers, assessors and mentors/supervisors
    • To enhance your executives’ self awareness and enable them to tap into their innate resources and full potential as leaders
    • To increase managers’ efficiency and time organisation by improving delegation skills
    • To improve feedback skills
    • To improve team coaching and cohesion

Structure of the programme

Your in-house trainers will undertake a train the trainer programme called The Accredited Performance Coach Train the Trainer course which will equip them to roll out the Coaching Skills for Leadership 2 day certification course, a management training programme designed to help your managers get the best from themselves and their teams. These trainings embody the principles and values laid out in Sir John Whitmore's seminal work "Coaching for Performance".

The accreditation criteria, standards and ethics of the training reflect those of the UK's independent coaching body, The Association for Coaching, of which Sir John Whitmore is Honorary Vice President and Carol Wilson is Head of Accreditation.

The trainee trainers will first develop their executive coaching skills to a high standard on the The Performance Coach Diploma course, incorporating the Coaching Skills for Leadership Certification course, then they will learn how to deliver the training modules of the 2 day Coaching Skills for Leadership Certification course, The style of the training is learning by doing. This is a very practical approach in which participants will have the opportunity to practise both coaching and training and to get feedback from our trainers and each other during the programme.

Your trainers will eventually be will be apprenticed to one of our trainers to commence the roll-out of the Coaching Skills for Leadership Certification course in order to develop a coaching management style throughout your organisation.

Course Components

    • The Performance Coach Train the Trainer programme consists of 8 training and assessment days and 2 apprentice and observation days, with mentoring/supervision and paired coaching practice throughout. This course leads to accreditation with the Performance Coach Train the Trainer Master Diploma.
