Former Head of Professional Standards & Excellence at the Association for Coaching, overseeing Coaching Supervision and Accreditation, Carol Wilson draws from 25 years at corporate MD and board level including 10 years reporting directly to Sir Richard Branson. She has collaborated with organisations all over the world to enable them to create a coaching culture and is working on a doctorate at Middlesex University. Carol is the author of "Best Practice in Performance Coaching: A Handbook for Leaders, Coaches, HR Professionals and Organizations", featuring forewords by Sir John Whitmore and Sir Richard Branson, and is contributing author to Excellence in Coaching: The Industry Guide, edited by Jonathan Passmore and The Handbook of Knowledge Based Coaching, edited by Leni Wildflower and Dianne Brennan. She has also published over 50 coaching articles, including a monthly column in Training Journal.
Carol is a cross cultural specialist, having worked with multi-cultural groups all over the world, and has presented at many conferences and workshops all over the world, including HRD, the HR Forum, Dubai Women in Business Conference, Catalyst Conference Sydney, Dept for Education and Skills, Royal Bank of Scotland, Cranfield University School of Management, CIPD Coaching at Work Conference, RRD, Royal Bank of Scotland, Birmingham Midshires, Kent County Council, Brunel University Business School and Surrey University. Carol has also appeared on radio and TV, including Womans Hour, Tuesday Call, Reading University radio and Sky News.
Her presentations are highly interactive and provide practical tools which participants can take away, plus demonstrations of live coaching with volunteers.
Since entering the field of leadership and coaching in 2001, Carol has specialised in creating coaching and leadership programmes in organisations through a global network of associates. Current clients include IKEA, CLM Olympic Construction Consortium, NCR (National Cash Registers), Westfields Retail Centres, Channel 4, Discovery Channel, Honeywell, Arts Council England and other public sector organisations.
